Diaspora is a new social network that advances in concept and makes a network more fair to its users than currently known networks.
It is about a week for the new social network Diaspora close the round of fundraising in kickstart. This new application will work as a social network promises to overcome the privacy issues that have given so much talk in recent times.
Diaspora is a project developed by four university students who have taken the initiative to create a decentralized social network that in this way are the users themselves holding the information uploaded to the network on your own computer.
If you've heard of P2P networks, the system will ring you porDiaspora used to solve the privacy issues. Each user connects with others through a direct connection to take place without intermediaries such as current social networks, where the platform stores the data of its users.
This way any user will only have to delete the information from your own computer to unsubscribe from the network, which today is too complicated for users of existing social networks (ie Facebook).
Diaspora works like a social aggregator that allows important information of various profiles to the network. This way to contact other users generated content is encrypted by GPG. In addition each user can choose between using libremediante version which does not need any technical knowledge on your own server oinstalar a distributed version of Diaspora, Wordpress style.
This project has great support and has been funded in part through kickstart.
For the average user of Facebook, the leading social network and captures the most critical, that words can peer to peer, decentralized, open source does not mean anything, but Diaspora presents an operating model that will undoubtedly change the way understand social networks making them more fair.
